CSOCCQI' 790122 The 1964WarrenWilson soccerseasonwas highly successful. The Mighty Owls finished the regular seasonundefeated for nine games ,with an impressive 76 goals scored against 5 for the opponents. Once again this year the team participated in the N.J.C.A.A. tournament held in Buffalo, New York. They won their first game, defeating Monroe Junior College of Rochester, N.Y. by the score of 1-O. In the championship game the Owls were defeated 1-0 by Mitchell College of New London, Connecticut. This game was amagnificent effort on the part of the Owl team ,who put up a tremen- dous fight to the very end. The team lost only after playing four regulation quarters, two overtimes, and a sudden death. The Warren Wilson soccer team was also one of the three finalists for the annual Pepsi Cola Outstanding Team Award for the team which contributed most to the sports of Western North Carolina.
