The freshmen came from West, Turner, and St. Mary's junior High Schools. They had to deal with extremely crowded hallways and the mass confusion of finding a room that just wasn't there. This big change brought about new responsibilities for them, but, most freshman adjusted rath- er well. Freshmen had to adapt to the new and completely different courses from their junior high schools. Whether they took General Science or I.P.S., freshman had to adjust to new study habits. They had to deal with the change of going from a junior high school to a senior high school which made things a little difficult. A freshman must struggle for four years to reach the position he gave up when he finished junior high school. Adjusting was the key to a successful year.
