Nancy Weber, April Spinks, John Lynch. Debbie Cullen, and Barb Braun play their saxo phones while marching to the beat ol the music. This year the Warren Hills Blue Streak marching band, under the direction of Ms. Marian Dolan and Mr. Mark Scirotto, had a terrific season. The band got off toa late start, but by no means a bad one. With drum majors Mike Roy and Lisa Bormann leading the enthusiasm, the Blue Streaks were praised for their exceptional talent. In- cluded in their repertoire were such songs as, Strike Up the Band,” “On Broadway,” “Blues in the Night,” and the theme from “Ice Castles.” “On Broadway seemed to draw the biggest response from the crowd. In addition to the traditional halftime program, the band was busy in the competition circuit. They competed in contests at Jonathan Dayton Regional, North Hunterdon, Catasaqua, North- ampton, Easton, and Pocono Mountain, Pa. This won the Streaks a spot in Chapter Championships. Following much pride and hard work, the Blue Streaks reached a victory of gaining over twenty points overall from where they had started in the beginning of the competitive season. This resulted in qualifying them for the Atlantic Coast Championships in November. 17 TWIRLERS: Kneeling: Co Caplains Judy Flynn and Denise Adams Standing: Gretchen Honecker.
