NHS Promotes Academic Achievement The National Honor Society is a small group of college bound students who promote academic achievement for all students. To be inducted into the Society you must have above average grades and community references. If these requir- ements are met, the students application is reviewed by the NHS faculty commit- tee. If there are no objections, the student is accepted. The NHS student president, Barbara Bowen, called all the meetings together. At the meetings, the Society discussed their activities, such as the Rent- a-Teacher Day. The Rent-a-Teacher Day was a big success, as it has been in the past. All the money raised by the Society is given to the Warren Hills Scholarship Fund. Sue Henning.
