AV Team ... A Working Homeroom Did you ever notice three juniors pushing audio-visual equipment around school during homeroom? These students com- prise the AV (Audio-visual) Team. This is the only homeroom in the school where working is part of the homeroom agenda. Allen Ponsini, Henry Gas- coyne, and Bill Schuch all volunteered to work on the team. Miss Luff is their advisor. Keeping Busy After School There are many ways to spend spare time after school. These students, like many others, have part-time jobs. For these students, school and homework are only one phase of their day. Working is often tiring, but that too is an education. Part-time jobs for many students are just for earning extra money. For others, jobs provide experience for a future career, such as secretarial or hospital work. Many students find work as an important part of their day. 25

NHS Promotes Academic Achievement The National Honor Society is a small group of college bound students who promote academic achievement for all students. To be inducted into the Society you must have above average grades and community references. If these requir- ements are met, the students application is reviewed by the NHS faculty commit- tee. If there are no objections, the student is accepted. The NHS student president, Barbara Bowen, called all the meetings together. At the meetings, the Society discussed their activities, such as the Rent- a-Teacher Day. The Rent-a-Teacher Day was a big success, as it has been in the past. All the money raised by the Society is given to the Warren Hills Scholarship Fund. Sue Henning. Sue Swenson, Kelly McNeil, Dawn Oostdyk. and Terry Bockman take part during the NHS meeting in the Guidance Office. FIRST ROW: Kelly McNulty. Dave Swayze, Sue Swenson. Terry Bockman. Sue Henning.
