At first perhaps a little shy and awkward but later falling right into the swing of things. We held out first meeting and elected the following officers: President-Warren Taylor: Vice-President-Michael Primiano: Secretary-Lawrence Urban: Treasurer-Albert Zeitler. Being Freshmen we were not allowed to partake in any social events. When we returned the following year we felt both proud and happy to start out in our new position as Sophomores. We held a class meeting and elect- ed the following to represent our class: President-Lawrence Urban: Vice- President-Ida Abbruzzi: Secretary-Eleanor Smus: Treasurer-Michael An- nunziata. We had one social event and this was found in the Sophomore Hop. It went off splendidly and everyone had a grand time. Thus ended our first two years. H..R. T. Pug! Twzntv-1

CLASS OF 45 On September 3, 1941 a group more eager to embark on their studies than the rest. arrived at school, the Freshmen. One class meeting was held in February to elect class officers. A S5 adver- tisement was contributed toward the Senior Class Year Book. Class officers were: President-Joseph Silva Jr.: Vice-President-John Henneberryg Treasurer-Anne Malone: Secretary-Peggy M. Merolla: Class Adviser-Mr. Frank N. Lombardi. They discovered here a different system than in their elementary grades. that of cooperation between the student body and the faculty. Here. they learned to confide in their teachers who were willing to help them in all difficuties, teachers who took an interest in them individually. Here also they learned a lesson from a losing basketball team which kept fighting al- though they were continually being defeated. Here, they have gained confidence in themselves and have developed a grand sense of loyalty to their school which shall in their future years, make them bet- ter citizens.
