CHEER VARSITY W LEADERS FIGHT! TEAM FIGHT! rg Kim Benedict Cindy Lawton 11 ..,,A Cheerleaders are very busy, active, and enthusiastic about school spirit and their teams. The varsity and reserve tryouts are held in the spring following a clinic. Freshman tryouts are in the fall. Cheerlead- ers are selected on the basis of teacher evaluation and ability. This past summer the varsity squad attended Golden Eagle Cheerleader Camp at Mus- kingum College, where they learned new jumps, sidelines, mounts, and cheers. Varsity received three 2nd place awards. The reserve squad attended a clinic at Smith Wall Bridge in Marietta, and Ohio State University in Columbus. For new uniforms, camp, and clinic they sponsored car washes, sold candy, programs, and much more. Cheerleaders were also involved in Parents Night, Homecoming, and the new Fight Song board.
