The FFA started the year by selling 1400 boxes of fruit. They participated in a state judging contest and placed 53rd in the milk division, 44th in wool, 83rd in dairy, 158th in general livestock, and 24th in agronomy. Two hundred people attended the parent-member banquet with many awards being presented. Susie Barrett was elected as South East Section Vice-President for next year. For the first time members of the Future Homemakers of America participated in the Recognition Day at Lan- caster. The club was represented by a Parliamentary Procedure Team, consisting of ten girls and one alternate . Gwen Mathews, Jennifer Rowley, and Lottie Hostottle made up a Public Speaking Team. Susan Brauer won second place in the Consumer Discussion Competition. Sharon Tackett, Kim Brown and Deann Hendershot received the Award of Merit. The Betty Crocker award winner was Jan Hunter. Officers of the 1976-77 Pep Club were Mike Chevalier, Presidentg Cindy Bolden, Vice-Presi- dent: and Linda Mulligan, Secretary-Treasurer. The Pep Club sponsored a bus to carry the school spirit to Federal Hocking for the sectional game. They made signs and put on skits to raise school spirit. They also gave out buttons to all the Pep Club members. ' - - A 4 P. i PEP CLUB G.A.A. The GAA was very enthusiastic in gymnastics, archery, volleyball, and bas- ketball intermurals this year. Head of the intermurals was Deva Coe. Elected as officers were Vicki Lowe, President: Kim Lowe, Vice-Presidentg Karen Wilson. Secretary and Ianell Johnston, Treasurer. All of the officers helped to make the club a big success this year.
