Spanish Club Spanish Honor Society The Spanish Club and Spanish Honor Society have a ioint goal of stimulating in- terest in the Spanish Language. During the meetings a Spanish atmosphere prevails. Par- taking of Spanish food, music, filmstrips, games and speakers are just a few of the T items that may make up a program. To be initiated into the Spanish Honor Society, a student must maintain an above average grade in his Spanish Class. Chess Club is a relatively new club at W.H.S. It consists of 19 members all working hard to place first in the school tournaments. Chess is a game that requires great skill, knowledge, and intellect to outsmart the opponent. ROW 1: RuthAnn Hall, Brenda Gladwell, Melinda Berry: ROW 2: Dave Henry, Dale Wooten, Kevin Wagner, Phil Welch, Tim Jones: ROW 3: Gary Cline, Mike Smith, Dave Wynn, Joe Meek, Fred Roberts, Joe Vickers, Glen Gossettg ROW 4: Tom Eddy, Coleen Smith. The first dance of the year was the Sadie Hawkins dance, sponsored by the Library Club. Their main project was to help purchase a new shelf for the library. Last spring the members and advisors went to Columbus to the museum of archeology.
