Every year the Future Teachers give a scholarship to a senior stu- dent who is planning on becoming a teacher. The club sponsored the Sweetheart Couple Contest and Denise Hooper and Chip Spence were selected as the winning couple. College Club Speakers from area colleges such as Rio Grande College, Ohio Uni- versity and Mountain State College came to provide information to members of the College Club. The speakers talked about the schools and the range of classes they offered. A former student of Warren High School, Paul Bricker, discussed his experience at college. The College Club members come from the Junior or Senior classes at Warren High School. This year the BATTLE CRY staff modified the paper into four columns and used more pictures. The paper used sales getters such as polls, sweetheart snapshots, Senior profiles, and a joke area. Warren High students were kept well informed by the wide variety of news. ,Ballle Cru This year the Industrial Arts Club held two turkey shoots and a Battle of the Bands to raise money for a camping trip and pizza party. The only requirement to belong to the club is that a student-be enrolled in the industrial arts program, and interested in promoting the Industrial Arts classes.
