Seniors 1971. To many people this year holds no special meaning, but to Warren Seniors this year symbolizes the attainment of a goal, a dream fulfilled. This was the year of the Sen- ior Superstars, both in athletics and scholarship. This year, dangling on the mortar boards, was the prize for four long years of hard work: long hours spent writing themes, study- ing for tests, and sweating on the practice field. But along with the agonies, we enjoyed the ecstasies. The happiness of simple living: smiling, loving, screaming at games, talking in the halls, dancing, and sometimes just daydreaming. We triumphed in the sign contest with our giant yellow bell sign and were first in the Food Drive. We felt pride when Debbie Westbrook was handed the dozen red roses and proclaimed Homecoming Queen. The last month before graduation was packed with special events: the Senior picnic . . . our red, white, and blue day . . . Senior field day . . . Junior-Senior Prom . . . and ulti- mately ,... Graduation. But, as our year, 1971 ended, we were reminded that a new year is coming, a year of new experiences and new hopes.
