it Amid flying chips and a blaze of glory, Erma Reynolds led the home-coming royalty as queen, escorted by cocaptains, Royce Adair and Richie Blankinship. Mary Neely and Sandra Blankinship rounded out the procession as maids. Buddy Rotten and Rich- ie Blankinship brought great honors to the camp by Winning all-district in football. We have blazed our trail through high school, but May 14 saw the Paul Bunyans in formal attire for the Iunior and Senior Banquet, the grand finale of the year. Babe led us south of the border for a Mexican theme, complete with bull tight and somb fkvwx, ff The end of the trail at last! We Bun- yans have been served nobly by Iohn- ny Ross as Student Council president and Buddy Rotton, president of the Sen- ior Class. Miss Pauline Lefler and Mr. Noble Steelman have kept the spirit of Babe the Blue Ox burning brightly to guide us throughout our last year. our journey in lite has on- ly begun. WOODIE CLASS HISTORY Then we were luniors. The Paul Bunyans had blazed a trail steadily upward with the spirit oi Babe, the Blue Ox 7 now we could peer between his massive horns and see the top. This was a biq year and led by Richie Blankinship as class president, every lunior shouldered the axe with a will. The lunior Halloween Carnival provided plenty of work and excitement for all. Everybody turned dramatic for the lunior Play, The Able Miss Cain. lt was a bang-up comedy, with three terrific performances, earn- ing Mask and Dagger awards for Iohn Eder- inqton and Sylvia Buercklin.
