The team had a lot of spirit and skill which helped them do such a good job. They only had one big disappointment with Downey. They had a lot of good players especially Jeff Box, Don Sabella, Steve Lueke, and Darren Wise. The Sophomore team is looking for a better year next year when they move up to J. This years Freshman Basketball team had a good season for their Hrst year at the high school lev- el. They started off the Warren High tradition by beating cross-town rival Downey, but were denied the second time around. This Freshman squad is loaded with talent. Top scorers were Mark Beas- ley, Jeff Miller, John Wa- ters, Scott Wilson, and Steve Giovanazzi. GIRLS ' VARSITY HAS A ROUGH TIME YUWYRI VIKQ This year's Girls Varsity Basketball team had a tough season. The final score was 0 wins and 20 losses. lt was the first year for many of the girls which proves the inexperience. ln spite of all the losses, Robin Felde was chosen as MVP and Ma- ria Dominquez was given the award of most im- proved player.
