V. football team, headed by Coach Steve Hill, came one game short of living up to their expectations of ha ving the best record in seven years by suffering a heartbreaking loss to the El Rancho Dons 14-17. The competition in their league was rough proved by the fact that the three teams they lost to went on to win titles in their own leagues. This team was a very well-balanced team, having an excellent passing as well as running attack on offense. And on defense the backtield could stop about any- thing thrown at them. The line could stop even the strongest running attack. -3-fga if ..-K, 1 ,,.....,....---K 1. Nelson Kerr is there to receive the ball in open tield. 2.
