fi! r Bears Bring It Home .The 1980 Homecoming Game against if 1 ranked Gahr was the high point of the Varsity Football Season. It wasn't just a individual effort but a team effort. The game belonged to the Bears from the beginning to the end. The offense showed great ability throughout the whole game by moving Gahr's defense into the end zone three different times. The defense did a superior job in holding a potent Gladiator offense to a mere two touchdowns. The three scorers for the Bears were QB Scott McClure, WR Bill Hckinger who also contributed 3 PA T's, RB Scott Duarte also with one touchdown. This was a very well played game by both teams, but again our bears came out on top. The 1 980 Homecoming Game will always be remembered for a long time. Not only was it a good, tough game but a very close one. . xy This Gahr running back has no where to go except into the arms of Dave Flutts. V The old fashion straight arm shown by Scott Duarte helps break a tackle. On a patented quarterback sweep Scott McClure turns it up field These Varsity Bears show their excitement after beating the if 1 ranked Gahr 220 VARSITY FOOTBALL 5 f ' 9. 'A , v 1 Q
