Romancing With Language The club is designed to further the activities of anyone interested in the French cultures or languages activities include having a breakfast at school and selling candy for money to go to dinner at a French restaurant of our choice. This dinner is our once a semester happening. We go to a restaurant which will give us a taste of French cuisine and where we can speak French with a waiter. We also had a bake sale, selling fine French pastries, Often we get together with the other foreign language clubs and do things, such as having a picnic and volleyball game, a Christmas dinner And an Easter egg hunt. UUGH 5.33: The purpose of the German club, as stated by this years presi- dent, Linda Sleumer, is to offer extracurricular and social activities for students of German club at Warren. This past year, German club has been fairly active, taking a snow trip, a Cross country ski trip, a Christmas party and participating in two German camps. The club also plans to go to Catalina with Biology Club, and go to Disneyland. During the month of December, German club sells the very popular Advent Calendars and also sells mistletoe to raise money for the club. The club contributed 107: of all prohts over 525 to student council, and strives to have the most amount of fun, while learning more about the German people, Spanish club, one of the three clubs department has the main purpose of promoting interest in Spanish events and customs. Ac- tivities include, an Easter egg hunt with the three other language clubs, Spanish club does take 6 yearly field trip to Olvera St. or to a Spanish restaurant. Spanish club 's advisor, Mrs. Clevenger, believes Foreign language clubs are a vital to the school, because they give students an opportunity to develop leadership, as well as have fun.
