ABOVE: Tight end Marty Patton leaps high for a Dave Boulware pass versus Compton. A pre-season pick by California Prep Magazine as an All-State end Marty was plagued with a sprained ankle throughout the season. However, he still managed to make first team All-Coast League both offensively and defensively. He was also a first team defensive selection on the Daily Signal All-Southeast eleven. BELOW: Halfback Dave Oehlman easily outdistances Mike Rodriguez of El Monte en route to his first of a record-breaking fifteen touchdowns. In addition to being a tri-captain, Dave was a first team All-Southeast and second team All-Coast pick. FOOTBALL

His teammates voted him Tri-Captain, Most Inspirational Player, and Most Valuable Player. Jack was also selected AII-C.I.F. third team by the Helms ' Athletic Foundation. BELOW: Tackles Rich Lemmens, 73, and Breck Gay, 61, lead the assault on Downey quarterback Tom Quinn. Rich was on the first units of the All-Coast and All-Southeast squads and was chosen as the team ' s Most Valuable Lineman.
