Two successful one- act comedies included Nine Lives of Emily and A Portrait of Nelson Holiday, jr. Climaxing the year were the one-acts Unsatisfactory Supper , a tense drama by Tennessee Williams, and Where the Cross Was Made by America's most famous playwright, Ifugene O'Neill. Also, for the second straight year Warren won top honors at the Long Beach State College Speech and Drama Festival. Aria de C1apa , one-act play by Edna St. Vencent Niillay, was presented a first place superior rating. Kit. RlCill.'XRD X1ll,lfS The big production of the year was Arthur R1iller's prize winning Broadway hit, Advisor All My Sons , which played to capacity audiences its entire run. In the field of speech, our debators won the Grand Sweepstakes Trophy at the spring tournament.
