January 20, 1981 was the day 52 American hostages were released from Iran after 444 days in captivity. It was a day Americans will remember. Warren residents were especially interested in one hostage, Col. Leland Holland, who is from nearby Scales Mound, IL and has many relatives in the Warren area, including sev- en WJSHS students. Col.
