1 FLC TRAVELS TO CANADA The Foreign Language Club sponsored a salad supper in the cafeteria on April 5. The profit went towards a trip to Canada, June 15-23. About ten people from Warren went on this trip with others from Mt. Carroll, Thompson and Dubuque. They took a Tri-State tours bus to places in Canada such as Montreal and Toronto. On the way back home they visited Lake Placid and Niagara Falls. The trip cost around $240 per person. Thirty-five dollars was given to those helping with the Salad Supper for spending money. The trip was not school sponsored. Unlike other organizations, the club included students from both junior and senior high. Most of the members had a year of a foreign language or took the 8th grade foreign language course. The club also had a Christmas party and held a bake sale. Officers were: Pres. Arlene Pepper, Seer. Karla Olson and Treas. Chris Lowe. The advisor who coordinated the Canada trip was Mrs. Pamela Sorg.

ASSISTANTS CONTRIBUTE Student assistants contributed greatly to the smooth operation of the Jr-Sr High library. Their duties included shelving library materials and keeping them in order, checking books in and out, making bulletin boards, assisting in the processing of new materials, helping students locate books, recording the circulation statistics and mending. By performing these duties efficiently and competently, they made it possible for the librarian to have more time for student contact, help classes using the library and concentrate on the professional aspects of librarianship. 4, Pat tie Rucker works at the library desk. 5.
