Congratulations, Students The scholarship, leadership, out- standing athletics, and service work work of Warren High students does not go unnoticed. The Twelfth An- nual Awards and Recognitions pro- gram was held April 25, 1973, in the gymnasium. The National John Phillips Sousa Award was presented to Janis Siga- fus for outstanding work in the WHS Band. The D.A.R. Award went to Julene Blair for citizenship. This night is one way the faculty reaches out to say thank-you to those students who help create a good image for Warren High School and the community. 14

K. Feltmeyer, J. Appell, R. Thompson, E. Schubert, L. Bourquin, K. Pansing, M. Appell, D. Palm, M. Davis, H. Feltmeyer, C. Stump, V. Vondra, D. Chumbler, J. Blair, M. Thommen, K. Menzemer. Juniors Present Knights In White Satin Celestial Fillet, Twilight Sky, Satellites, Dreamboat Adrift, and Moonlight Sonatas were the items on the menu that began the 1973 Junior-Senior Prom. The banquet began as the traditional toasts were said--Junior Class President, Sheri Lancaster, toasting the Seniors and Senior Class President, Bill Wiley, toasting the Juniors. Sophomore girls served the feast, and a group of Junior girls completed the ban- quet by singing the theme song-- For All We Know. Many hours before the banquet be- gan, the Juniors were hard at work transforming the gym into a setting of white satin with two large stair- ways descending from the glitter- ing sky of stars. At the enchanting hour of 10 p.m. Mary Jo Davis was crowned 1973 Prom Queen by outgoing King Mark Appell. Dana Palm was crowned King by the outgoing Queen Holly Feltmeyer. Mary and Dana led the Grand March--their royalty following.
