Other than the three members elected from each class every year, the council has retained some of the older members. These members are faced with the responsibility to help the new members under- stand and help with the function of the club. The largest function of the club is to take the responsibility of Homecoming. They organize the parade, decorate the field and gym, select the orchestra, and take charge of the election and crowning of the queen. Throughout the basketball and football seasons, they are in charge of the concession stand. At the end of the year a picnic is sponsored by the council. This year banners are being ex- changed between schools to be hung in the gym. The school news- paper that was organized last year is in full swing this year compiling news of the students in every phase of activity. The council's aim is to bring closer the students of each class so they will work together as one. 29
