All abo-o-ard! Globey grabs his travelscarred suitcase and rushes out for a bird's-eye view of the world. He says it's smart to see America first, especially if it's Niagara Falls, one of the Seven Wonders. He skims the Alleghenies and Berkshires to arrive at picturesque Provincetown on Cape Cod. Sniffing the salt air, he is fascinated by the fisheries and the smacks docked alongside. He wishes he were one of the artists who flock there every summer. Going south, he hugs the coast line all the way. Enchanted by the Bok Singing Tower in Florida, he listens to the carillon pealing its evening so ng accompanied by twittering of birds in their sanctuary. Breaking the spell, he grabs a plane Qby priority, of coursej to cross the Deep South and plains bordering the Mississippi. Flying over a mesa in New Mexico, he dips low enough to spy two native Americans on horseback. Globey heads north into the Black Hills, stopping at Mt. Rushmore. He stands awed by this man-made tribute to fam- ous presidents. Springtime in the Rockies lures him to ldaho, where he catches the aroma of coffee. Yes, it's Harding campers who share hot dogs with him. Snow-capped Rainier, framed by majestic firs, beckons to Globey before he scoots across the Canadian border to gape pop-eyed at a totem pole in lasper National Park, a monument to Indian handcraft. Maybe l'll take up carving, he thinks. c'W5

Meet the Boss! Globey nominates Principal Molly Mollenkopf as number one friend and guide of the student body. He's never too busy with his problems of administration to give a Warm Welcome to former Hardingites on leave from service. The Voice of Mr. Lovett announces that the repre- sentative of Oberlin is in the office or that car F142Z is parked with the lights on. He not only makes frequent use of the P. A. system, but directs it as Well. Being Dean of Boys is a full-time job, too. Among his extra-curricular duties, he enjoys plan- ning assemblies, which range from magicians to philosophers. Good luck, says retiring prexy, Don Spencer, as he hands the gavel to his successor, lames Bollas, at Council headquarters. Both boys made note- worthy installation speeches. Spencer analyzed the G. I. Bill of Rights in its significance for furthering the education of returning service men. Bollas urged us not to allow our liberty to degenerate into license, but to guard it carefully for the good of all. A' 'wa J , A H H i rf Page Nine f21-
