Science All science courses have been regeared to the needs of the war. New courses have been added also. The pictures il- lustrate some phases of study. Seventy boys enrolled in aeronautics. The outline of the course is the same as that used by the Army Air Corps in the preilight training. ln picture I, Ralph Perrine and jack Murray have con- structed a model to show the control sur- faces by which a plane is guided. 24-ehrllr. Clayton Carleton, physics in- structor, explains the electrical generator used in the laboratory as a source of sup- ply for direct current. Pupils are Ken- neth Smith, Bill Gorog, Norman Ross. ln S, VValter Schaffer, Ralph Dennis, and Tom Brocken work on problems in weights and electricity. ln 3, Robert Franz, Harry Filler and Pat Hickey put to practice a mode of communication. They keep the Press box informed of all movements on the football field. Llfliwing Daily views the moon through the school telescope.
