Those red and white uniforms are getting plenty of wear and tear, for WV. H. S. Band averages three or four send-offs each month of the year. Many were the cold days that frozen fingers coaxed tunes to cheer the boys departing for service. I Highlighting the Band experiences was the summer trip to Canada, fi- nanced by Warren citizens. Ours was the only high school band participat- ing in the 'fTattoo, the musical festi- val. The honor of leading the United Natio'ns Parade on the Fourth of july was also ours. The use of patriotic songs and for- mations, plus the display of flags of the United Nations, thrilled the football crowds at every game.
