It not only contains nine hours of classes for the regular Harding students, but it also func- tions twelve more hours of the twenty-four to meet the needs of cit- MECHANICAL DRAWING Mr. VVilliam B. Cass izens who are preparing to take their places on the production front. Besides, Mr. Nickel and Mr. Kraker teach National Defense Classes eight hours every Saturday and Sunday. Woodshop boys have given real service this year since materials are more difficult to secure. They repair all broken furniture of the school. They have built bulletin boards and the handsome visitor's desk on the first Hoor. The training in Wood- shop helps boys secure rating as car- penter's mate in the Navy, as Well as obtain jobs in airplane factories. The school has already received letters from boys in the service, say- ing they are receiving promotions in the Army because of the skills they were taught in the vocational train- ing courses.
