TRUTH IN EDUCATION Harding school life depicts THE AMERICAN WAY . . . we always feel a special glow of hap- piness when our color guard marches on the field, carrying Old Glory and the Red and White. 1904 students and 64 teachers crowd our classrooms to capacity . . . teachers and text-books give facts instead of propaganda . . . magazines and newspapers are not regimented by the government . . . TRUTH IN EDUCATION is the rule at Harding. A well-organized Student Council is a part of our democratic system through which we achieve representative RULE BY THE PEOPLE . . . voting is cherished as a right and a re- sponsibility in this land of NO DICTATORS-1400 students cast ballots at the mock November election . . . our school publications hold high the tradition of A FREE PRESS. We may disagree out loud too-our Speakers' Bureau, exercising FREEDOM OF SPEECH, gave a genuine service to school and community this year in interpreting issues of public inter- est, such as, the School Levy . . . RELIGIOUS FREEDOM makes for friendly relationships at Harding fthe picture shows a group with heads bowed reverently during the morning's Our Father. l Eagerness to forge ahead shines in the faces of this group of Ianuary graduates at Com- mencement . . . and so our version of the American way of life concludes with CONFIDENCE IN THE FUTURE.
