The Principal's Message The fundamental purpose of Warren Easton Senior High is to provide each of you with the tools of knowledge and skills which will enable you to realize your individual potentialities, and with a code of ethics that will make you competent to become moral, productive, and contributing members of society. We hope you develop in knowledge, in skills, in ability, and in character from the learning experiences you receive while attending Warren Easton. There is but one straight road to success and that is merit. You have an obligation to yourself to actuate the urge to succeed and excel. Never content yourself by doing your second best, however unimportant the task or occasion. An old Latin proverb states, Trifles make perfection, but perfection is no trifle. This is a valuable axiom to keep in mind throughout life. This is our second year as a fundamental senior high school and we hope you have become acclimated to the high expectations and remind you of the philosophy and ideals of this school While the emphasis is clearly on structure and order, the aim is to maintain the accent on quality education. The best of the past, present and predicted future of educational values are included as concepts in developing meaningful learning. The principal focus is on learning the fundamentals, stressing academic skills and the establishment of good study habits in a quiet, orderly and well- disciplined environment. We believe you will become responsible and productive citizens by applying yourselves to the principles and goals of Warren Easton. E.R. Tootle 10
