Table Of Contents Administration Homerooms Classes Organizations Activities Sports Ads Mr. Erron R. Tootie Principal’s Message How should we approach the need for renewed and dedicated efforts in accepting the challenge of preserving the high moral and ethical qualities which are intrinsic to the ideals of sportsmanship? How can we educate sport oriented in- dividuals to revitalize the integrity of competitive athletics? Lest we forget, the following are ideals Warren Easton students should exhibit. S stands for scholarship. In any school oriented athletic program, scholarship must take top priority. P stands for performance. Recognize and appreciate skill performance regardless of affiliation. Applause for an op- ponent’s good performance is a demonstration of generosity and goodwill that should not be looked upon as treason. O is for opponents. The opposing players should be accorded the tolerance, respect, and generosity which all human beings deserve. Without opponents there would be no competition. R is for respect. Show a high quality by respecting players of both sides, officials, and spectators. T means thoughtfulness. Be considerate and tolerant of everyones opinion. S stands for support which should be given by all students. Each should uphold, maintain, and promote the ideals of Easton. M is for mastery of being a good sport and of developing skills as a participant in competition. A stands for ability. Develop your talents and skills to the fullest capacity. Mediocrity in sportsmanship should have no place in your life. N means you should be a notable Eastonite. Be worthy of note, prominent, and distinguished in your behavior in school, at athletic contests, and throughout life. S is to be special. Be exceptional and distinctive in thought, word and deed at all times and in all places. H stands for honesty. To be upright and honorable, a person must be supportive of the team whether it wins or loses. I is for inspiration. Many teams have been inspired to give a super performance by the loyalty and support given by fans, super performance by the loyalty and support by fans. P stands for praise. Be worthy of praise and give approval, commendation, and applause to all who are deserving par- ticipants in an athletic game or the game of life. The potential educational value of athletic competition is diminished without adherence to some standard of perfor- mance by all concerned. Put this all together and the end result will be good SPORTSMANSHIP. E. R. Tootle Mr. K. Martin Acting Assistant Principal Mrs. V. Lassu$ Secretary Mrs. M. Gremillion Clerk Mr. P. This traditional phrase is a symbol of Easton spirit in both scholastic achievements and extra-curricular ac- tivities. Fight Song We’ll always fight for Warren Easton And for her teams we’ll do or die, We will uphold her colors purple and and cheer her name up to the sky- RAH! RAH! RAH! On every play we’re marching forward. It won’t be long before we score. We’ll send a man around the end to fool Then hit the line until we overrule them. We’ve got the stuff that makes us tough, Hey! Easton is the champion today! Alma Mater • Warren Easton marches onward, Through victory and defeat. And bravely without murmur, what fortune sends we meet; For we re all for Warren Easton And we ll strive to gain and hold, The honor of our high school and The purple and old gold. Give three cheers for Warren Easton Her praises raise on high, And for her when she needs us, We ll bravely fight or die. Left to Right: C. Herbert, K. Sabathe, L. Collura, Mr. S.
