Mr. Frank Formusa explains to Jcannine Schnabel how the computer scheduled her math class for third period. COMPUTER SCHEDULING This year Warren Easton was chosen as a pilot school for the Socrates Student Schedul- ing System”, an IBM computer system which quickly and effortlessly placed the entire stu- dent body of Easton into classes. Besides scheduling students, the IBM computer kept classes level and mechanically typed out sched- ule cards containing periods, courses, room numbers, and teachers' names. Scheduling this year was done in only three hours with the help of Miss Shirlie Solomon and Mr. Frank Formusa, whereas in past years it has taken two full weeks of manual labor. Checking the accuracy of each student's schedule is Miss Shirlie Solomon.
