Surely these are the glazed eyes of a raving lunatic! No, it's Richard Updike, successful- ly securing at least a sniclcer from even the grumpiest of us. Our very own resident juggler, John Sea- lock, is always capable of getting our atten- tion and laughs. Brian Roberts here gives his imitation of what one does when one is deep in darkest Africa and suddenly comes face to face with a crocodile. Lugging a mountain of books and groaning in agony, you step into the hall. Life seems so pointless, vacation never seemed so far away .. . And then, when you least ex- pect it, some loony comes around the corner and contorts his face and body at you, and the pressure is released in the form of laughter. Our halls are filled with loonies, like Tim Markee at right, who make it their business to promote laughter. What would we do with- out them? Greg Groves is caught here in a temporary fit of insanity. lt's not a pretty sight, is it? lsn't it cruel of Joe Weakley to try to shove Beth Napier and Mary Bethune into the floor with his elbows? Shooting Stars Shooting stars - we all come into Contact with them daily. Ev- eryone is a shooting star in his own right - we recognize only a cross- section of them on these two pages. Shooting stars are those people who succeed - whether it be in the arts, in academics, or any other area. They are people who reach for the sun and eventually grasp it, thrilling us all with their bright- ness. Everyone has their own space to occupy in the sky - these are a few of the people who are on their way. Katie Ziemer plays trumpet in Stage Band and in the Marching Band. She is also presi- dent of the sophomore class, The 1981-82 Thespians are: Front-Kathy Henry and Pam Tribino. Middle-Angela Powell, Suzanne Hartley and Connie Krause. Back-R.T. Good, Kathleen Clark and lim Samhorsky. Katrina Cooke and Cinna Croseclose repre- sented us at Girls' State this past summer. Sheri Hawkins, head majorette, wins our recognition as she twirls for our school.
