There was some- thing in the air that boosted our spirits - we were happy. Pam Devers was crowned queen, and no one even seemed to notice when her bouquet of balloons never made it off the ground. We cheered anyway as the radiant queen beamed. The next evening was filled with hard rock pro- vided by Grinder, and those who went to the dance en- joyed the Senior Class' efforts. Eleven-thirty came on fast, though, and the illusion of endless love was put behind us - for now. Although we did not win, our Wildcats put up a valiant struggle during the Homecom- ing Came. Marianne Harrison was part of the Home- coming Court. I had fun! , she told us, and we can clearly see that by her bright smile. mr ii ,v ,f Lopnies Ever had one of those days? You're up to your ears in home- work, you have two reports due to- morrow, and you have three tests. Lugging a mountain of books and groaning in agony, you step into the hall. Life seems so pointless, vacation never seemed so far away .. . And then, when you least ex- pect it, some loony comes around the corner and contorts his face and body at you, and the pressure is released in the form of laughter. Our halls are filled with loonies, like Tim Markee at right, who make it their business to promote laughter. What would we do with- out them? Greg Groves is caught here in a temporary fit of insanity. lt's not a pretty sight, is it? lsn't it cruel of Joe Weakley to try to shove Beth Napier and Mary Bethune into the floor with his elbows?
