Mrs. Maude Siebert has served on XVarren's administration for the last four years. Mrs. Siebert not only acts as dean of girls, but is in charge of Warren's cafeteria. Page sixteen dministration The Warren Central administration consists of Edward Cuddy, principal, Obert Piety, dean of boys, and Mrs. Maude Siebert, dean of girls. The duties of this group extend into all school activities and problems which arise during the year, as well as the general administrative responsibilities. Numerous problems, both adminis- trative and student, cross the desks of this trio every hour of the day. Keeping a family of nearly 1200 individuals happy and busy and yet learning is a full time job. These three administra- tors try to attend all school functions in addition to their daily responsibilities. Edward H. Cuddy is the newest member of XVarren's administrative staff. Mr. Cuddy, for- merly vice-principal of Bloomington High School. became Warren's principal only this year. He is Warren Central's third principal. Among his many other responsibilities Obert Piety, War- ren's dean of boys, is in charge of all class scheduling. Mr. Piety has been at Warren for three years.

SOCi21l tudies PTCPHTC Iohn Q. Citizen, For Life Page eighteen Teaching 715 students the how's, when's, where's, why's and who's of the old and new worlds is the main objective of the Social Sci- ence Department. Included in this depart- ment are classes in freshman guidance, United States history and government, which are all required for every student. Besides the re- quired courses are elective classes in family living and world history. To help keep history and government stu- dents informed about world affairs, these classes subscribe to three daily newspapers. Government students also receive Our Times, weekly current events magazine. By learning more about themselves through the extensive testing programs in guidance, freshmen are better able to plan their remain- ing three years of high school work. Family living prepares Warren seniors to cope with the problems they will have to face in their future home lives. Robert Carey's U. S. History class is illustrating the fact that maps, books, and newspapers are necessary articles in keeping up with historical events that have taken place in the past, and in the present.
