UCH C-WWE CCGF'II3LI5I-I ED. The members of the administrative staff have a comprehensive background of professional train- ing and experience. Their guidance and foresight have greatly helped in making our school the fine school it is today. Mr. C. E. Eash, principal, is a graduate of Indiana University. His undergraduate ma'or subject was German. He received his master's degree in education. He served as president of the junior class, captain of the track team and was elected business manager of the Indiana Daily Student. He has taken special work in a number of middle west and eastem colleges. Mr. Kash has taken an active part in state educational activities, serving as resident of the Indiana Schoolmen's Club, secretary-treasurer of the Indiana Secondary Schooli Princi als Association, member of Teacher Training Committee and Educational Beview Committee. Alt the 1949 annual meeting of the North Central Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges he was elected to the Commis- sion. ln civic affairs he is active in Y.M.C.A. and Boy Scout activities. He is a member of the East Side Kiwanis Club and of Phi Delta Kappa. Mrs. Myrtle Bodden, dean of girls and vice-principal,was already a sophomore at Indiana State Teachers College at the a e of sixteen. Durin her undergraduate years at Indiana State she worked in the office of the sean and received mucTi valuable experience for the osition she holds today. She has her master's degree from Indiana University and has attendedla number of col- leges and universities. Mrs. Hodden has taught the pa t five summers in guidance conferences at Butler University and has articipated in many other g idance conferences and workshops. She has served as President of thie Indiana Deans Associati n, chairman of the Education and Voca- tion Committee of the Indiana olis Business and Profe sional Women's Organization. She has served as a member of the Y.lE.C.A. board for three ye rs and recently was elected to the pres- idency of Delta Kappa Gamma, a national honorary prof sional organization. Mr. Fred Hodebeck, dean of boys and vice-principal,i an alumnus of Canterbury College. He holds a B.S. degree from Purdue and has attended Indiana and Butler. He has articipated in uidance conferences and workshops at Purdue and Butler. ln his work as dean of Boys Mr. Rode- Beck makes many direct home contacts and frequently paves the way for a better understanding between the home, pupil and school. Mr. Bodebeck is in charge of the buying for the cafeteria. Mrs. Leon Deer has general charge of the school office. Twelve pupil assistance, Nancy Lentz, Billie Alger, Donna Thom son, Anita Folkeningy .loan Wray, Buth Collins, Delores Cumberts, Bertha Crawley, Catherine Collins, Marie Duke, Miriam Dorrell and Carolyn West act as messen- gers and assist in the office functions for the school. rs.
