In the year of 1933, economics and govem- ment were begun for the seniors who had taken one year of history previously. Four tennis courts were erected in 1935 and the football field plans were be n. Football came to Warren in the fall of 1937 with Mr. rlilomas Stirling as the first coach. The new science laboratory was completed. The school first contacted Mr. Harold McDonald concerning painting the murals for the library. Miss Mary Schaid was the first sponsor of the Sunbeam Organization which held its first meeting on October 28, 1939. In 1941 the Madrigal Singers were organized. af . w 1' ' X ll fbi: ' Twenty-five years have passed at War- ren, and looking back through the years one discovers many factors aiding in its development. It was in the year of 1925 that the stu- dents of Cumberland and Shadeland schools moved into the present build- ing.Nineteen twenty-six sawthe school receiving the name Warriors, Three teachers have been with the fac- ulty since Warren's founding - Mr. C. E. Eash, principalg Mrs. Myrtle Hodden, vice-principalg and Mr. Walter Mowrey, athletic director. Through their tire- less efforts Warren is today a school outstanding in its varied activities and events. l qi 7 I-1 Y J It was in 1942 that Warren won the coveted honor of being awarded mem- bership in the North Central Associ- ation. The Owl Staff received thelr Roost from Mr. Eash in 1944. Nineteen-forty-nine saw the new clocks and bell system and the twen- ifvy-fifth anniversary edition of the 'arren Owl.
