Class of '48 Well, here we are -- the seniors of 1948. Hasn't it been fun, kids? Six years of working and playing together within the walls of dear, old W.C.H.S. We've had our ups and downs, our good times and bad, our triumphs and defeats, but looking back on them, we know that they were the happiest years any group of high school stu- dents could ask for. Will you ever forget the basketball games, the Hi-Y wiener roasts, those walks around study hall, and all those super dances. The social side of our lives at Warren has been full to the brim, and, oh! what fun. But these activities had a twofold purpose, for while they brought us good times, they also strengthened our charac- ters and taught us how to get along with Wthe other fellowu. Our class has had a whole regiment of out- standing students and leaders. Some of them ex- celled scholastically, while others achieved a measure of fame in sports, dramatics, music or journalism. All of us, at times, have assumed the role of cooperative followers. Members of our class in the music department have appeared in two operettas and many contests, our athletes have successfully participated in all fields of sportsgand all-around individual achievement has brought increased honor to the name of Warren Cexitral throughout the city and state. What of our work in the classroom? We have invested our time and energy in furthering our education. The dividends from our investment are an enlightened mind, a better ability to un- derstand our fellow-men, and most important of all, an insatiable thirst for knowledge. There- in lies the key to our future success. But we must reminisce only briefly. Our true interest lies in looking ahead, in plan- ning and dreaming about our futures. In the years to come, we will find our classmates be- hind the executives' desks, administering to the sick, and rearing prospective students of War- ren Central. Why, someone may even go so far as to invent the better mouse trap. Though we know, of course, that the extent of our success de- pends upon our own endeavor, we shall never cease to be grateful for the start we were given at Warren. J.
