Reading And Writin’ And Arithmetic Are Essential (1) Pauline Schaekel, Barbara Slentz, Carole Oertel, Jim Winters, and Bob Stev- ens are among the members of the Ger- man Class who are interested in the learn- ing of German phrases of time. Both the first and second year classes were held the second period, and must have kept Mr. Eash pretty busy. (2) A new class, World Geography was watched with interest by many people and received writeups in the Indianapolis papers as well as those in the Owl. Geography was studied from an economic point of view. Present-day problems were discussed to give students information which can be used in everyday life. (3) Mary Clark presses a jacket while Betty Gouker, Nita Gates, and Donna Goodrich sew and Carole Singleton helps Mary Bader fit a housecoat which she made in advanced clothing. (4) Speech was one of the busiest classes at Warren this year not only giving plays but speech contests and many other ac- tivities.
