CLASS WILL Reluctantly, sorrowfully, and with regret, we seniors of 1938 relinquish our places at Warren Central. We prayfully wish that those ideals we have tried to gain may be carried farther by classes of tomorrow. Happiness we seek, and may happiness also be yours. And may you also use use your talents, manliness, and strength of character to uplift yourselves to greater heights before God and man. We know that you will receive from life what you do rightfully deserve. And may we hope that we have helped a little in bringing you to realize how you you can deserve more. In return may you help others by being kind, considerate, tolerant, and be the really fine person we want you to be. The Seniors of 1938

CLASS HISTORY In September, 1934, the seniors began working toward a goal, namely graduation. During the freshman year, lour members of the basketball squad started their athletic careers by making the freshman team. They are Robert Matzke, Raymond Bottema, Emerson Applegate, and Howard DeGoyler. The most outstanding event of the sophomore year was the beginning of the new building. There was very little studying done in the study hall for everyone stood at the windows to view the day by day construction. Winfred Bashore, Donald Holzhausen, and Lee Clifford brought honors to Warren in their junior year by winning the National Brass Sextet Contest. This year the new building was completed. The senior year was saddened by the loss of one of the class members, lack Claghorn. In March the class gave the comedy Growing Pains . An informal buffet supper party started the senior activity season in April. Commencement exercises were held on May 25, and after four carefree years that goal of graduation has bee n accomplished. This year for the first time, student directors are being entered in the con- test. Lee Clifford and Donald Holzhausen will compete in band and Bob Clif- ford and fohn Dora in orchestra. Bob Vernon, drum major, is entered in the baton twirling contest.
