The Stage Band combines showmanship with musical ability. The Stage Band performed for many organizations throughout the year, providing entertainment in popular music and jazz. On February 16th, it presented an assembly for the student body. Mr. Frank Aurillo of the Navy School of Music worked with Stage Bands of Warren County at an all-day clinic on January 12th. The day's activities were culminated by a concert held that evening with Mr. Aurillo as featured soloist. Discipline and determination characterize the Dragon Band. The one-hundred twenty members of the Warren Area High School Band provided many and varied forms of entertainment at football games, concerts, and assemblies. For the iirst nine Weeks of the school year, the marching band rehearsed outside. After much hard work, the marching band developed many colorful and interesting drill routines, allowing a variety at each game. The Dragon Band further aided school spirit with pep songs from the stands. After football season, the band moved inside to prepare for its concerts and assemblies. The band's first perform- ance was December 8th at 'the Holiday Music Festival. March 16th was the night of the annual Band Concert with the band's final performance following in an assembly on March 23rd. Throughout the year the band marched in several parades and also provided music at the dedication of the Kinzua Dam. This year's band oiiicers were Becky Hagberg and Bill Cobb, co-presidents, and Bev Christie, secretary.
