BIcLean Houston gave an interesting talk on the growth of the oil and the automotive industries. ln November hir. Fitz-Simons talked to the club on new developments in chemistry, illustrating points by experi- ments and by a display of plastics. At other meetings the members enjoyed moving pic- tures. IE object of the Young lN'len's Christian Association is character building through the encouragement of clean sports, scholarship. clean Speech, and high living. The Hi-Y Club was organized with this purpose. The year's program was carried out with the enthusiastic cooperation of every member. The speakers- were excellent, and the social activities were plentiful and varied. Outstanding events were the County Hi-Y Conference, the Tri-Hi-Y Rally, the Older Boys' Conference, and the Week of prayer services with the Girls' Club. ORK on the boards of the various school publications af- forded many of us invaluable respon- sibility and practical experience. In- numerable details of work presented many problems, which were compa- rable to those of modern business. VVorking together for a common goal, we strengthened our ability of co- operation. Everyone looked forward to the ap- pearance of our monthly magazine, the Dragonette. Our language pub- lications, the Num' et Tuna, and the Lebewohl, were among the best to be found in their respective fields.
