IE object of the Young lN'len's Christian Association is character building through the encouragement of clean sports, scholarship. clean Speech, and high living. The Hi-Y Club was organized with this purpose. The year's program was carried out with the enthusiastic cooperation of every member. The speakers- were excellent, and the social activities were plentiful and varied. Outstanding events were the County Hi-Y Conference, the Tri-Hi-Y Rally, the Older Boys' Conference, and the Week of prayer services with the Girls' Club. A cabinet was selected in September, and a well-rounded program was planned for the year. The membership campaign resulted in a total of one hundred sixty-five members, most of whom took part in the very impressive membership ceremonial. lt was the pleasure of the Girls' Club to entertain the Jamestown llli-Y. A varied pro- gram was greatly enjoyed at that meeting, which was held on November 13. Other interesting functions of the club included morning services with the Hi-Y, movies of the New York World's Fair, basketball games, teas, and dances. Conferences at Gil City and at Rochester were attended by enthusiastic Warren delegates, who brought back line reports. Ring committee activities continued to be helpful and popular. At the spring lllother and Daughter Banquet Girl Reserve rings were presented to the girls who had earned them. The Girls' Club aimed to maintain a spirit of friendliness and kindness toward everyone, to uphold a high standard of honor, to face life squarely, and to find and give the best. Row I. Fitz-Simons talked to the club on new developments in chemistry, illustrating points by experi- ments and by a display of plastics. At other meetings the members enjoyed moving pic- tures.
