A Eingraphg HE one to whom this Dragon is dedicated and the one who is well known and liked by the students of the High School, our principal, Mr. P. VV. M. Pressel, was born in Pennsylvania in the early seventies. He attended public school until he reached the age' of sixteen when he accepted his first position as teacher. After teaching a short time he enrolled in the Cumberland Valley Normal School and there he completed a full course. Again he chose teaching as his work and ever since, he has taught in the public schools. He gradually worked his way up until he became supervisory prin- cipal of the public schools of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. He held this position until 1906 when he came to Vl'arren as principal of Vtlarren High School. During his boyhood, though not active athletically, owing to a broken collar bone sustained while skating, Mr. Pressel was a lover of the outdoors, the woods, fields, and streams and in fact ever- thing connected with nature. This love of the great outdoors has stayed with Mr. Pressel since boyhood and even now he likes nothing better than a walk into the woods or along some stream. VVhen a boy, Mr. Pressel was an enthusiastic bicycle rider. He was able to ride a great distance without tiring and he has ridden over seventy- five miles in one day. He was a very fast rider and was able to compete with anyone in the road races which were held during his boyhood and early manhood. Today, Mr. Pressel is a great lover of games and is a familiar figure at all the basket ball and football games played at lYarren. During his stay in XYarren, he has made a great many friends both among the high school students and among the citizens of Vllarren. His firm but kindly ways have won for him a place in the hearts of all students of KY. H. S. and it is with regret that each succeeding graduating class leaves forever the haunts of Mr. Pressel, the VV. H. S.
