Academics WRHS offers many interesting courses and has well-informed faculty members to teach them. Students can choose from such diverse topics as welding, chorus, weight-lifting, and drama. Many people select classes that they feel will aid them in their future career or college, while others simply take what is necessary to graduate. Whatever the case, it is possible to take enjoyable as well as informative subjects during the six-period-a-day schedule. For future homemakers and future bachelors, home economics courses can be useful. Prospective college students will find the typing, math, English, social studies, and science classes to be beneficial. Art, chorus, band, drama, and creative writing courses will appeal to those people who are interested in fine arts. You may have to LOOK hard to find the right class, but whatever your interest or ability may be, WRHS has a class for you. For students who enjoy singing, chorus is a welcome break in the daily routine that girls make good Trumpeters Randy Newsome, William Clark, and Ray Hill are conducted by Mr. Warnock in Lab Band INTRODUCTION 9
