C. Warnock the Dixie Demon Marching Band of Warner Robins High School has become a valuable asset. During the fall of the year the band participated in the half time shows at the football games and gave you that added touch of spirit. The student body never appreciated more the bs ind’s attendance at the football pep rallies, which was one of the reasons the spirit was so high this year. The Warner Robins Dixie Demon Marching Band has performed also for out-of- school functions. This year they performed in the Annual Christmas Day Parade in Warner Robins and Macon. On December 20 in the Warner Robins High School gym the Concert Band, also under the direction of Mr. Warnock, put on an inspiring Christmas show for the benefit of all students and faculty. Phe Dixie Demon Marching Band and the Concert Band of Wa rner Robins High are both splen- did. Much of the credit for the progress of these bands is due to the splendid leadership of Mr Warnock. He has been with the Warner Robins High School band for two years and his presence has been seen and appreciated in the way he handles the bands and manages to turn them into pol- ished performing groups. We hope these bands will continue to improve and Mr. Warnock will continue to direct in the same style he has for the past two years. The Drum Major for the school year is Steve Williams. His presence is noted on the footb ill field at half time as he leads the Dixie Demon Marching Band in their routines and band patterns. We the students of Warner Robins High would like to acknowledge the bands as the best we have ever had and we hope they will con- tinue on in this tradition. We are proud of our bands’ fine showing and the dedication they have shown in this school year. LYNN KIGHT Head Majorette ANN THOMAS RHONDA FOSTER SHEILA SORROW PAT KIGHT Chorus MR. Her members are meant to lead, to accept honor, to share responsibility, and to meet challenges. This year the Student Council took a step closer to becom- ing a true organization. As time passes, and varieties of people come and go, I hope similar steps will bring the council to that utopian state and that WRHS will have a truly effective, functioning student government. Success lies in officers and representatives who accept the challenge and a student body that backs them. It has been my extreme pleasure to have such a group of people surrounding me and I sincerely hope that succeeding presidents will have the same good fortune.
