Education Mercer Social Studies A day in the life of a demon begins every morning around 8:15. Students arrive at school in many different ways. Some ride buses; some ride motor scooters; some walk; and many have their own cars. Our ample parking lots are filled to overflowing every day. In every school some students must be excused for coming late or for being absent the day before and ours is no exception. Aft- er everyone is cleared to go to class, our Typi pod Mmg..5« eee morning roll call and devotion is held, for we feel that a devotional period.is the best possible way to start a day. Hard work now begins for both the students and the faculty although it some- times appears that neither is expending much energy. We have tried to give a pictor- ial report of every curriculum offered at our school with students and teachers at their work. Not every minute is spent working, however, because of assemblies, physical ed- ucation, class and club meetings, band, and varsity athletics offer character building di- versionment for all students that wish to participate. The best part of the day is the lunch hour because we have an efficient cafeteria that provides us with well rounded meals. After lunch there is plenty of time to get to- gether with nothing to do but talk, and most of the students firmly exercise this right. We hope that these pages typify a day in the life of a Demon to you. We have a wonderful faculty to advise us and each of us need their help at one time or another. The heartaches and successes that we have experienced here at Warner Robins High School will make better men and wo- men of us in later life. From the opening victory over AAA Southwest DeKalb to the defeat of unbeaten Fort Valley, the Demons compiled a six win three loss one tie record. This was an excep- tionally good season considering that Warner Robins had jumped from Class B to the fast AA Region. Coaches Kirksey and Musselwhite should be commended for the fine job they did during the rugged schedule. Two Demons, James Malone and James Heath received honorable mention on the All-State Team.
