THE The pageant, The Messiah ls Come, which was directed by Delbert Gault and presented by the entire school was a skillfully combined presenta- tion of music from HandeI's Messiah and the Christmas story in drama and narration. IS The characters of the drama were portrayed for the most part by College students. Children from some of the nearby churches in Portland were cast In chiIdren's parts. MESSIAH Costuming and stage props added a great deal to the feeling of the age-old but ever-new Christmas story. COME As the pageant ended, the Child Jesus, portrayed by Alvin Bunnell, along with the narrators, Mel White, Darrell King, and Barbara Jennings, led the recessional of the entire cast from the auditorium.
