HOMECOMING Homecoming in the fall has now become a very important part of the Ingathering activities at PBC. For the second year the highlight was the out- door barbecue. A second very signficant experience of this year's homecoming was the burning of the Meier House on the east edge of the campus to make room for the new Gymnasium. The high- light of Thursday evening was a very excellent speech delivered by Governor Mark Hatfield fthen Secretary of State of the State of Oregonj. The home- coming crowd that packed the huge tent was inspired and challenged by his message. Groundbreaking at the site of the new Gymnasium. Dr. A. F. Gray, President Emeritus, wields the shovel.
