Students and professors take time for conversation and fellowship. Here Rev. Joe Crane, speaker for the Spiritual Retreat, chats with the Drs. Caldwell. SPIRITUAL RETREAT On Thursday and Good Friday before Easter, the college held its traditional Spiritual Retreat at Mt. Scott Boy Scout Leadership Training Camp. Speaker for the retreat was Reverend aloe Crane, pastor of the Eugene Church of God. Highlighting the Thursday evening activities was the observance of the ordinance of foot washing. Friday morning the group partook of Communion in groups of twelve. The group agreed beforehand that they would remain in corporate silence from the rising bell until the Communion Service. This time of quietness and meditation was very effec- tive. Throughout the rest of the morning conferences were followed by services in the morning and one in the afternoon which officially closed the Re- treat. www X5 This sextet of girls added greatly to the the Communion servlce.
