as XIX ri Since everyone seemed to be busy just then, Herb pushed another button, and Zane Miller, who was production manager, appeared to show us around. As we started out to look things over, Dorothy Gryziec cams in with some important-looking papers. Herb acquainted me with the fact that Dot was his confidential secretary. Continuing our tour of the plant, I recognized Laverne Ausman hurrying somewhere with a brief case under her arm. She told me she was secretary in the research department, and was then taking some of Allen Suddaby's discoveries to the office. She pointed out the room in which Allen worked, and, glancing toward it, I saw dozens of miniature rockets whizzing about his head. Each time they crashed they evoked only fiendish glee in Allen similar to that evoked when he was leader of the Had Scientists. As I finished the tour and took my leave of old friends, my heart was at once sad and happy ......... sad in parting .......... happy in the revival of pleasant memories of W.
