The senior Classiof 1958 Class Prophecy FOUR CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN ANSWER I With apologies to Pirandelloj I erry-Where do we go from here? Bob-Ask jack, he knows all the answers. Dick-Huh! Don't let him kid you. He only thinks he does. Bob-Well, doesn't he? He is a born leader, he gives you a feeling that he knows what he's doing. V lack-Even when he doesn't. Ierry-I wish I could. - Bob-You? Never! You worry too much about every fraction ofa point. You,re the slow, steady type. Ierry-That's good? lack-Listen to the guy! With your determination, even if you didn,t have a brain in your head, yould succeed. You're a plugger! Jerry-Gee, thanks! That still doesn't answer the question. A Dick-Does anyone know where he's going? Jerry-Some people do. Look at Bob-ambitious, self-confident-good brain-. Iaclc-If he would only shut up once in a while. He sounds so stuffy. Dick-That,s because he,s not old enough to be young enough to en- joy himself. Jerry-Say that slowly. Iaelc-Skip it!-Let's scratch out of here, and let the future decide for itself. Dick-Why? Bob-You are serious, aren't you? Ease up a little on yourself! Laugh! Don't let little things throw you. Dick-You call this a little thing? Jerry-I don't think it's little. Bob-I don't either. We can't find an answer to the question now, so why not set our sights high and hope for thc best. lack-I'll buy that. Let's get to class. Q l Underclasses ff 11, . Because of the weakness on offense, Mr. Harris, the coach of the team, searched for a man to replace Dave Doty and found him in D. C. Thomas, next year's captain. XVitl1 a little experience D. C. developed into a fine center forward. Once the offensive line gained experience and started to score, the team enjoyed a winning streak, gaining for us the last six games in a row, and bringing our final score to 9-5. MIDGET BASEBALL As in past years. last year's Midget and Skeeter baseball squads are being featured on this page. YVhen springtime came the boys were engaged in a yar- ied program butrbaseball was the main attraction. In these groups the basic fundamen- tals as well as the principles of the game were empha- sized. Mr. Brecne coached the Midgets. while Mr. Har- ris guided the Slieeters. Both coaches feel that there are some members of these groups who will be moved up to the juniors this year. 64 THIRD ROXV: john E. Hahn, Corwin S. Scott, jr., Randolph R. Pfeiffer, Robert XV.
